Taming the Tiger (part 2)

This is a further exploration and practice of the series of meditation and visualisation exercises which form the second part of the Taming the Tiger book by Akong Tulku Rinpoche. This second part of the book primarily addresses our deep seated capacity for projection of our difficulties onto the outside world. It instead invites us to see the world as a mirror in which we can see our mind’s reactions as what binds us to suffering and not outside events. This second part takes us to a deeper layer of the projective capacity which kicks in when confronted directly by extremes of suffering. In essence we learn to own and deal with our suffering. We learn to face our own imperfections and the suffering they cause us and those we come in contact with. Alongside this we train in being with the suffering of others.
